4 Klaviyo Flows That Grow Your Revenue

Post Image

Welcome to this week’s Marketing For You edition. Today we’re keeping it simple: four automation flows in Klaviyo that can quietly grow your revenue in the background, while you focus on product, operations, and customers.

If you’re new to it, Klaviyo is an email and SMS platform built for brands, making it easier to use customer data and behaviour to send the right message at the right time.

Most brands still send “one big newsletter to everyone”. It’s noisy, hard to measure, and your revenue becomes… random. Flows are different: they react to what people actually do (or don’t do) and move them one step closer to buying again.

1. Welcome Series – Turn new sign-ups into first orders

When someone joins your list or creates an account.

A good welcome flow in Klaviyo does three things in 2–3 emails:

  • explains who you are and what you stand for,
  • shows your hero products or categories,
  • gives a clear, time-bound reason to place the first order.

Think of it as onboarding, not just “thanks for subscribing”.

2. Abandoned Cart – Rescue the money left on the table

People add to cart, get distracted, and disappear. An abandoned cart flow reminds them at the right moment, not weeks later.

In Klaviyo, you can:

  • send a gentle reminder first,
  • follow with social proof or FAQs,
  • keep discounts optional (not every cart needs a coupon).

Even a simple two-step flow can recover a surprising amount of revenue.

3. Post-Purchase – Make the second order easier

Once someone buys, the goal is to make sure they are happy and come back.

A post-purchase flow can:

  • confirm the order and set expectations,
  • send care tips or how-to content,
  • invite reviews, then propose a logical next product.

Set it up per product type in Klaviyo so messaging feels personal, not generic.

4. Winback – Re-activate quiet customers

If someone hasn’t ordered for 60–90 days (or your usual repeat window), treat that as a signal.

A winback flow can combine:

  • a simple “we miss you” message,
  • a short survey or preference update,
  • and, if it fits your brand, an incentive with a clear deadline.

The aim is not to “blast the dead list”, but to re-engage the ones who still recognise you.

Where to start this month

If you don’t have much time, a realistic plan could be:

  • Month 1 – Launch a basic welcome series
  • Month 2 – Add abandoned cart
  • Month 3 – Add a simple post-purchase flow
  • Month 4 – Test a small winback segment

Four flows live is already a big step towards more predictable revenue.

Klaviyo Kit – Done for you
